Please take a moment to read our most commonly asked questions. We're always available to answer your questions and encourage you to contact our office if you have a question that is not answered below.

All You Need to Know

  • Are you accepting new patients?

    Yes, we welcome new patients.
  • Do you accept my health insurance plan?

Advocare participates with most major insurance plans. As participation varies by region, specialty, and physician, we recommend that you contact either our office or your insurance company representative to verify that your insurance plan is accepted.
  • Do I need to obtain a referral prior to making an appointment?

Our office does not usually require referrals, but many insurance providers will only cover specialist visits with a prior referral from your primary care physician. Please check with your insurance company to determine whether a referral is required.
  • How do we contact the doctor after hours?

Our medical doctors are available 24 hours a day. After hours, call the office at (856) 234-4436 and follow the prompts to reach the provider on call. Please be aware that after-hours calls are intended for urgent medical issues that cannot wait until the next business day. Please call back if you have not received a timely response.

IN THE EVENT OF A LIFE THREATENING EMERGENCY, CALL 911.
  • When will I receive lab or test results?

You will receive a call with any lab results that require urgent attention. Other abnormal lab results will be addressed promptly by the provider that ordered the labs or tests. Normal values are usually not reported, however, you are welcome to call our office to request a copy of your results.
  • What hospitals are you affiliated with for surgical care?

We are affiliated with  Virtua System.

Please Note:  We also perform minor surgical procedures at our office.
  • How long does it take for medical forms such as disability paperwork, referrals or pre-certifications to be completed?

Please allow up to five business days for your paperwork to be completed.
  • How soon can I get an appointment?

In general, we offer same-day emergency appointments. Routine appointments are usually available within one week.
  • Do you charge a fee for no show appointment?

Yes, the fee depends on the day and type of appointment that you missed. To avoid a fee, please provide our office with 24 hours' notice if you cannot make your scheduled appointment.
  • How many providers do you have at your practice?

We have two physicians and a nurse practitioner who provide gynecological services.
